Heavy Trailer Endorsement
The following program is an example of a custom-designed program to help businesses train team members to become certified in 2 specific areas. Meeting ICBCs standards to tow heavy trailers (over 4600kg) and proficient in operating manual and/or electronic log books.
Heavy Trailer Endorsement
The Go Team Heavy Trailer Endorsement (Code 20) Course is 8 hours in-class, plus, 4 hours of in-vehicle one-on-one practical training with a Go Team ICBC certified trainer. Towing a trailer with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) in excess of 4,600 kilograms requires drivers to upgrade their current license to include a code 20 heavy trailer endorsement. This endorsement allows drivers to tow trailers of any weight appropriate for the tow vehicle, provided that neither the trailer nor the tow vehicle is equipped with air brakes. Should your trailer or vehicle have air brakes, you will need to upgrade to a class 1 licence with an ICBC Air Brake Endorsement (code 15).
Log Book
The Go Team Electronic Log Book Course consists of 8 hours of in-class theory, plus 4 hours of practical training to develop the competencies to meet the professional requirements outlined in Division 37 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
